CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Home and Community)
Descriptions
Certificate III in Individual Support reflects the role of workers in the community and residential setting who follow an individualised plan to provide person-centred support to people who may require support due to ageing, disability or some other reason. This course helps learners develop a range of factual, technical and procedural knowledge, as well as some theoretical knowledge of the concepts and practices required to provide person-centred support.
Course Structure
Course Duration
Qualification will be delivered for 54 weeks. Face to face delivery will take place once a week (6 hours each day). Students will generally need to spend 16 hours per week on self-studies, completing assessment and undertaking workplace activates.
Work Placement
There is a mandatory requirement for students to complete a minimum of 120 hours of work placement. Students will be assisted by the Work Placement Officers to find suitable work placement opportunities in reputable establishments.
Course Structure
To be awarded the qualification of CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support, learners must successfully complete a total of thirteen (13) units of competency, consisting of:
- Seven (7) Core Units, and;
- Six (6) Elective Units

Entry Requirements
This course has been designed with the target client being a new worker in the child care sector. There is no specific entry requirements for this qualification. Applicants will be required to complete an ACFS language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) assessment. Learning (ACSF Level 4), reading (ACSF Level 3), writing (ACSF Level 3), oral communication (ACSF Level 3) and numeracy (ACSF Level 2) are desirable to participate in the course.

Students will gain the benefit of experience throughout their course with an integrated work placement component (a minimum of 120 hours) that:

Cost
Government Funded
Government Funding is available for Eligible individuals. This training is delivered with Victorian and Commonwealth Government Funding under Skills First Program.
The tuition fee is $0 for students who are eligible for government funding. Please refer to Eligibility Check page to make sure you are eligible for the government subsidised program.
Full-fee
